TERMS OF USE

Introduction

Willowbank Holiday Park is a 28 acre level site set in a woodland clearing to the South side of Southport between the pretty villages of Ainsdale and Formby. The park has 228 Static Holiday Homes all privately owned. Hiring out of the Holiday Homes is not permitted. The park also has 87 Touring Van / Motor Home pitches set away in a separate area of the park all on level ground - Offering Gravel Hard Standings, Grass and Grass Hard Standings. The Touring Park has its own luxury, heated shower and toilet building with all the expected facilities being available at this central location. You will be taken to your pitch with help being offered to position your unit and unhitch. The park does not have any other facilities available therefore making for a relaxed environment. All your day to day requirements and evening entertainment can be catered for in the villages or Southport itself. Should you require any assistance or advice when on the park any one of our four reception team members will be delighted to assist you. Please find listed below our current facilities and services.

Pre-Arrival
We cater for Privately Owned Holiday Homes and Touring Caravans.
There are several ways to contact the park, listed in the contacts section.
Both the Holiday Homes brochure, Touring brochure and this access statement are available in large print on request.
Our Web Site is accessible to Priority 3 (AAA).
The closest bus stop is 0.2ml from reception, with the Spar Shop and post box being 0.4ml away.
Ainsdale village is 1.1ml walk from the park and a further 0.3ml gets you to the Railway Station at the top end of the village. This line has direct links with Southport and Liverpool stations.
All of the above can be walked on good wide level foot paths.
Taxi services are available to all the major attractions in Southport and Liverpool along with an excellent service to the Manchester and Liverpool Airports.
The nearest Shop-Mobility centre is 6ml away in Southport town centre.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
On entering the park from the Coastal Road our 60m long level tarmac drive way takes you to the reception building.
There are no traffic calming measures.
Parking for 2/3 car and caravan units across from reception is provided at one side of the drive way.
Commercial vehicles are allowed by appointment only.
People making inquiries and visitors to the park in cars, park at the side of the reception building with a 20m walk on level tarmac to the door.
Parking bays are not marked out although there is ample space along with access to the rear of vehicles.
If required, parking outside the reception door is permitted for a short time
All vehicles are parked in sight of the building and assistance will be offered if required.
There are no kerbs on the park.
Access from the parking area on to the park is via barriers and clearly signposted.
Once through the barriers the 4m wide level tarmac roads lead off on to the two areas of the park.
On the static park room to park two vehicles next to the Holiday Home is available on most pitches.
Touring field parking allows for one vehicle next to the unit with additional vehicles parked outside reception.
All of the park is lit with low level lighting bollards.
A 5mph speed limit operates throughout the park.

Main Entrance & Reception
Access to reception is directly from the parking area on a level tarmac surface with no ramp or threshold. The dark coloured doorway is 830mm wide and manual in operation.
Once inside the light and airy building there is ample room to manoeuvre a wheelchair to the counter that is 930mm high.
Pen and Pad are available on the counter if requested.
The area is illuminated with modern LED light fittings
Seating is available in reception.
An escorted tour of the park for up to three people at a time is offered.
People who find it better to stay in their own vehicle can be guided around the park.
Office opening times and the whereabouts of staff on the park can be found on the reception door.

Public Areas - General (Internal)
the whole of the park in set on level ground with tarmac roads through out.
One public phone box is available next to the reception building. A seat is provided next to the call box.
In emergency situations only the Duty Wardens can be called out via an intercom situated next to the reception door.
All our signage is clear with dark green back ground and bold light gold letters, with all fire signs and assembly point signs to regulation specification.

Public Areas - WC
The park has one toilet block that is situated in the middle of the Touring Park and is for the use of people using that area. However it does house a small laundry for all people on the park to use. This area is small and not suitable for wheelchair access. Assistance can be offered on request.
The central part of the building houses the Ladies and Gents toilets, showers, urinals, and sinks.

Laundry
The laundry contains a front loading washer and drying machine with the dryer mounted on top of the washer.
Ironing facilities along with a hand washing sink are provided.
Vehicles can be parked within 3m of the level access door way.
Assistance would have to be provided in the laundry as some of the equipment would be difficult to use from a seated position.

Outdoor Facilities
We have one out door; fenced and gated children's play area that is sited opposite the reception building on the corner of one of the wooded areas.
The surface of the play area is deep sand retained by grass.
The area contains one swing set, climbing bars and a seat.

Caravans, Holiday Homes & Twin Units
Static Holiday Homes on the park are supplied with a 3/4 wooden step set with hand rail on one side.
Vehicle parking is allocated on each pitch next to the unit.
The usable area of the pitch can be hard surfaced if requested.
Specialist Holiday Homes from various manufacturers can be brought in to suit the specific demands and access requirements of customers.
Most of the pitches allow for ramps to be installed to aid access if required.
Staff can advise on what we have to offer when contacted.
Dustbin, recycling and fire points are located throughout the park.

Touring Facilities (Holiday Parks)
We offer Touring Caravan Pitches on level grass or a Hard Stand level gravel surface for the caravan, with the awning on grass.
Our toilet block is located in a central position with about a 100m walk from the furthest point away on the park to the facility.
Please specify on booking if you would like one of our few hard standing pitches within 10m to 15m of the facilities.
There is ample room to park four vehicles at the front of the building allowing for both side and rear access.
On one side of the building out side is a fresh water fill point, tap at 0.7m high The elsan point, lip at 0.5m high and the grey water disposal at ground level and a tap at 0.7m high. Access to these facilities is by a 1.2m wide hard level path with entry from one end, and room to turn at the opposite end.
Built in to the building on the opposite side is the unisex wet room. A free key is given on request at arrival, for this facility, for the duration of stay.
A vehicle can be parked at the entrance of the path to the wet room, the path being 1.2m wide x 6m long hard surfaced and level, leading to the door way at 800mm in width.
Once inside the floor is an anti slip tiled surface [black & white], the room is 2m x 2.3m with a clear floor area and curtain used to denote the shower area.
The shower has clearly marked controls, a seat attached to the wall and a retractable grab rail.
A baby changer is also located in this area.
The WC has a seat height of 430mm and is set up for Left Hand transfer with various grab rails being accessible.
Hand wash sink at 800mm high with shaver point and light.
The room is lit with tube lighting and has white tiles throughout; an emergency pull cord is located next to the door that operates an external bell to bring help.

Grounds and Gardens
Customers are free to walk through both the Touring and Static parts of the park, all roads are level and of tarmac. Ample space is available for wheel chairs to travel around the security barriers.
Picnic tables are situated on the opposite side of the road to the play area at the entrance to the touring park, in a wooded area on a hard grass surface
Litter bins and dog waste bins are located all around the park.
We have a dog exercise area accessible from the static park at one end via the tarmac roads and also accessible from the opposite end via the touring park. This access is over grass land that is hard when dry.
Wide steel gates form the entrance at both ends.
The dog walk is a level tarmac path with wide grass verges on both sides One side is fenced; a ditch on the other side marks the boundary.
The area is 10m to 15m wide and about 500m long; a seat is available half way down. The area is secure with dogs being able to be let of the lead.

Additional Information
Public transport and taxi services in the area are good, all information available from reception.
Mobile telephone coverage is good, along with a public telephone on the park.
Basic first aid training has been completed by some staff members.
Assistance and advice is always on hand.
